2000 Blazer LS Fuel Pump
I have been having issues for the past month with my blazer not wanting to start. I did everything from replacing all relays, fuses, & filter. I finally had to realize the pump went bad, well that's not the case. I had a hunch that the people who owned it prior to me may have replaced it already so I pulled the carpet from the cargo area and found an access panel to the pump. The pump looks like it is brand spanking new! There was a bundle of wires wrapped up in eletrical tape and I began to start just moving them around and when I hit my remote start the pump kicked on and the blazer started. My question is does anyone know the wiring for the new pumps and if there is some kind of diagram so I can rewire the pump correctly and not have it consistently short out on me. Thanks hope someone can give me a hand with this I spent 2 month trying to figure this out now I just need to get the wires taken care of.

There is a pump power and a pump ground. A sending unit reference and sending unit ground. The pump power is Grey on the vehicle harness, the pump ground is Black. They are the larger two of the four wires. The sending unit reference/signal wire is Purple and the sending unit ground is Black/white. Those are the smaller two of the four wires.
In general on the pump side or the new aftermarket connector side ( new connectors are part of many aftermarket pumps and even some delphi). Will have two large and two small wires. The pump ground is the large black wire on one end of the connector (position D). The pump power is the large grey wire in position (B). The sending unit signal/reference is purple. The sending unit ground is black/white.
So it is really just a matter of matching the wires as the colors remain the same. Remember to use a weather-tite connector when splicing.
If the colors do not match reply and I will try to help.
