2001 CHEVY VENTURE
I HAVE A 2001 CHEVY VENTURE.. THE HEATER IS BLOWING COLD AIR EVEN WHEN LEFT RUNNING TO WARM UP... DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE TO FIX THE PROBLEM? NOT REAL HAPPY WITH LOCAL CHEVY DEALER MECHANICS WOULD LIKE TO FIX MYSELF..
Hi rbrunson!
There's a couple of things you have to check. The first, most common and most important is that there is enough coolant in the cooling system. Don't bother just checking the overflow bottle.

There is a good post that you should read here.

Poor heat and cooling problems

Hope this helps! You have to start with the coolant issues. If that's not the problem, post with your findings!

Hey Guy
I took my Venture to my Mechanic cause of that same problem. He reported to me that I needed to change an intake gasket. Something with the Dex-cool fuild eatting away the gasket. My venture is a '99
