If you are within the operating range on the fluid level indicator and the check oil level light came on, you may have a problem with the oil level indicator electrical system. I noticed you listed your oil level as a percentage, are you confusing the oil life reading with oil level?

Default I have a similar problem on a 07 silverado

when I turn on the ignition the dic flashes check oil light.the oil level was fine . right at the full mark. I've removed the oil sensor cleaned and checked for anything that may appear damaged but it seemed fine. then after beng unpluged and the battery being disconnected it didn't happen for a week or so then it started doing it agian. Is there anyway I can test the sensor to see if it bad. I'm not willing enough to spend 50 plus if it is still good.

some one please help with this problem. its driving me crazy.
