I have a noise in my 2007 Tahoe Nav system. It seems to sound like a laser is trying to read the DVD, but it happens a lot of the time, whether the navigation system is on or off. I have had the entire system, radio and all turned off, and still hear it. Has anyone else had this issue?

 

normal operation.
that dvd will continue to spin for about 2 minutes after the key is off and the retained accessory power is killed, and starts spinning when you press unlock oin the key fob.
it will make noise while driving to always be ready for you when you need it.

If you don't want to hear it spin, the only thing you can do is remove the nav disc.

 

Mine has no disc in and this same issue is occurring.
