Default 2008 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 5.3 Clock reset

Hey guys, so the last few weeks my clock started to reset to 12:00 every time I start the truck, the odd time it stays the same but for the most part it resets 90% of the time same with my Hvac resets to dual climate and at 23 Celsius, battery is 5 years old, last week my starter went I changed that out and works now,
any help would be appreciated , thank you

Check your fuses. There is a power line to the radio that keeps the memory when turned off, that fuse is probably blown.

There are 2 fuse boxes in the truck. One under the hood and one inside. Not sure which fuse it would be on your year. I would also check the battery cables for corrosion and being loose at both ends.
