Question 2010 Cobalt Air Conditioner Problem

Hello- My 2010 colbalt is having some air conditioner problems. The the car is idle, stopped or driving slowly, the air conditioner stops blowing cold air. When I accelerate or am driving on the interstate, the air blows cold.

Also, I have also noticed my RPM's fluctuate when idling. But when the Air conditioner is turned off, it does not have the RPM problem.

Any information would be great on what is going on.

Thanks

The air getting warmer when you are at idle or stopped could be due to a low charge on the system OR the compressor going out....
The higher speed of driving turns the compressor faster allowing the system to move more fluid through the system making it cooler but it could also be a failing compressor that is not able to compress the liquid unless its at higher speeds....
You will need to have a qualified AC person check it out....
