2012 impala barely takes one can of refrigerant
HI !
I have a 2012 Chevy Impala with the 3.6 and 150k miles. The car barely and slowly takes 1 can of refrigerant.
Bought car about a month ago so I don't now history of it. But the compressor on in it look very recently replaced.
System holds vacuum at -25 to -30
-The compressor looks like its been replaced lately, also I tried another from a salvage yard. - same outcome.
-The compressor clutch engages when I add refrigerant to the system. Also turns on/off from switch.
-Both high side and low side gauge is a 50-70 psi. (Always the same though on high and low side)
-I changed the expansion valve with new part.
-psi doesn't change on gauges if I turn the compressor on or off or revving engine.
-I don't feel any of the lines from the compressor getting cold or any of the other lines or components I can touch.
I'm not sure what to do here. Can a blow air or smoke through the condenser and evaporator to see if its plugged? Can I purchase something to flush things out?
It looks like the dryer is internal in the condenser and I don't think this has an orifice tube filter/
Any other ideas what I'm doing wrong?
Please help!!!!! Thanks,!!!!!
Nick
