Default 2015 Colorado transmission bucks

I've been reading online where Chevy discontinued making the Colorado in 2012 along with a lot of bad reviews on transmission problems and began production again in 2015 with a new designed transmission to hopefully correct the problems, guess the new design didn't help much. My 2015 Colorado is beginning to buck when I accelerate from low speed to high speed, or going up a hill, and in windy weather facing the vehicle, sometimes a loud bang with the bucking. Chevy dealer not sure what causes this problem and wants to tear into the transmission to see what may be causing this, said it may be a few worn parts, bad torque converter, or maybe needs a new transmission, could be hundreds or could cost me thousands to fix. You would think after all the bad transmission reviews they would have a recall to fix this problem or come up with a better designed transmission. Has anyone had this problem with their Colorado's?
