Bought a Diablo Predator 2 for my 2019 Silverado and it’s useless. You can’t use a tuner on a Silverado 2019 or later unless you remove the truck computer and send it to Diablo Sport of any other manufacturer to have the computer unlocked. Definitely not worth the hassle for no more horse power that you are going to gain! Just an FYI. Spent 625.00 and can’t use it! Tuners are not returnable! Pissed off !

 

yep and the dealer can see how many times the pcm has been reprogrammed so even if you put the factory flash back in....they know and this will void warranty. Normally aspirated engine tunes don't do much.

new models on most brands now have a security module to protect the vehicle from software hacking. ie so they can't hijack the electric p/s and throttle control. This means most scan tools can only read codes...no bi-directional control

 

It’s sad. You buy a truck but it really isn’t yours. A person should be allowed to do what they want with their vehicle but big brother is always watching!

 

you can do whatever you want but if it wrecks don't expect the manufacturer to pay for the repair. seen to many boosted vehicles with head gasket and trans problems; the manufacturers are tired of paying for repairs.
