ESC Light goes on ,on 2023 Chevy Traverse with 38,000 miles. Had a tester put on at auto parts store, and showed no problem. Light goes off and on sporadically. Really don't want to go to dealer as i figure they will advise most expensive fix if i really need to fix, any ideas, and is it dangerous??? Thanks in advance!

 

It is dangerous. Your stability control is disabled, which is a key safety feature.
A basic code reader cannot diagnose this. The most common cause is a faulty wheel speed sensor.
Since it's a 2023, it is under full factory warranty. Take it to the dealer. They will fix it for free. Do not pay for this repair.

 

The car SUV has over 36,000 miles, so the basic warranty is expired. Have no idea how much it will cost to fix.
