Default 350 4 bolt or 2

I just picked up a 1978 2 door chevy caprice ( a poor mans chevell ) the engine is locked up on it. My father has a bucket of rust 1988 chevy silverado suburban that has a good and stronge engine and trans, He is letting me have it so that I can pull out the engine @ trans to put in the caprice. I have 2 questions.

1. The 350 in the suburban is it a 4 bolt or 2, & the trans is it a 350 turbo or 400.

2. The surburban 350 is fuel injection will I have problems running it in the caprice, & should I have no problem dropping in the surburbans 350 & trans.

Default RE: 350 4 bolt or 2

The Trans all depends on the vin code and the options for that yeah if it has overdrive more the likely it is a 400..... the injection part you may run into an issue with, it may be easier to change intakes and go carborated.... If I remember correctly in 88 the 5.7's where 2 bolt main bearings....been out of the chev game for a while kicked with Olds and Ford for a bit so I could be wrong.
