350 big block?
Is there actually a 350 big block? Had an old k10 and it was totaled but we salvaged the motor and was always told it was classified as a 350 big block. People doubt me and I’m starting to doubt myself
Put that in a pickup or a car and I can guarantee that you will bust your axle, unless you beef it up. The 366 BB medium-duty truck motor has less HP then the 427 BB, but it had some SERIOUS torque! My fathers C-60 366 C-I had sodium-cooled Stellite vavles too. Combine it with a 5-speed tranny and a two-speed rear axle and you have ten speeds. You can get that rig rolling fast once you learn
to split the gears.
GM DID produce a 348 cubic inch mill (5.66 L), available from 1958 to 1964 in cars, and in light trucks, but I think those were long blocks. Big Blocks are OK as long as you have enough room to work on them. Even then it can be a real chore, and it adds lots of weight to the vehicle.
That and the truck motors came with a filter canister, not a spin-on oil filter, although you could find an adapter to fit a spin-on filter.
