350 crate engine

i bought a 350 crate engine and i put a harmonic balancer on it and the timing mark is not lineing with the timing indicator but when you rev it up to 2000 rpm its on the mark whats up with that?

it may be a little out of time also on the older model u was supposed to unhook timing advance and plug vacuum line to check timing
