We have a 2000 Suburban and have a third row bench seat. Sounds like you have two separate seats.
We had a guy come to our house and get it to unlatch. One side locked the other side didn't then it was impossible to do anything. The guy worked on the left side looking from back of the seat. He took a 5/16" socket and unbolted the cover that is over the mechanism for the seat. He had access to the mechanism and took a screw driver and pushed down on a latch while lifting Lever 1. Then the seat folded down. We then lift the center lever and pulled the seat off the one latch. We then were able to secure the seat in place correctly with all latches locked.
I tried to upload a picture not sure it worked.
