4l60e no reverse or second
I've heard this was caused by a broken sun shell.
Every mechanic i've gone to is asking for about $1600.
Lookin for anything cheaper than that.
Any comments and advice appreciated.

$1600 is just about a full rebuild, but any time you have to go into the tranny your practically going to be rebuilding it anyway.
You might try looking for a re manufactured one but i'd be my bet that it will be about the same price plus your looking at a $200-400 for the install unless you do it yourself.
