4WD, ABS and Stabilitrak Service notification
Hello all,
I have a 2017 Silverado 1500 LT.
Over the years I've had a combination of these 3 alarms ring in on the truck. The problem is, anytime I take it to the mechanic to get looked at, the alarms have already cleared (3 restarts, and then they clear, right?)
Which is a pain in the butt, because the mechanics tell me they can't see a history of them ringing in, so I guess I'm left to do my own troubleshooting. Here's the symptoms of when these alarms ring in:
4WD Service: The only thing that seems to be a problem when this rings in, is that my 4WD selector switch seems to not work. I've read that replacing the selector switch on the dash can be a culprit for this alarm, so any you smart people know if this is indeed what it could be?
Stabilitrak Service: Obviously I get the light on my dash for the stabilitrak (Yellow light where it looks like the car is losing control, lol). But also, when I look at the "Off-Road" screen on my dash, it appears as though there is no data whatsoever. All the angles are blank. I've read that this alarm could be as simple as a steering wheel sensor. Given that I cannot see any data on the Off-Road screen, it leads me to believe that it could be something like that, or some other type of sensor. Let me know your experiences with this one!
ABS Service: This seems to ring in when I'm in a parking garage or something, going down a slight incline very slowly, using my brakes. I feel vibration in the brake pedal, (feels like air in the brakes or something). I thought that this would be something easy for the mechanics at Chevy to figure out, but apparently not. Any thoughts to this?
These are all annoying alarms, and I want them to go away forever! Please help me out anyway you can. Thanks.
