5.3 Liter V8 grinding noise upon startup

I have a 2017 Chevy Tahoe with the 5.3 liter V8, 16,000 miles. At the first start of the day, there is a short “grinding” noise, and it is worse during the cold weather. It is currently in with the dealer, but they seem to be oblivious to it.
