i have my 60' chevy with the original 4 speed tranny and im putting a 305 in it.... am i gonna have to go with the original starter or go with a starter to match the motor?

 

oh yeah. i have to convert it over to 12 volt. and i need to know what all has to be changed?

 

i cant belive it's 6 volt ,both my 1959 1/2 and 1961 gmc are both 12 vt stock .dont know on the starter give it a try ,do you have the engine in yet or out ? if out try to engauge the starter to see if it will engauge the flywheel .
