Default 700r4 Vehicle Speed Sensor

So i pulled a tranny from a 89 Chevy Silverado for my 1991 Chevy Camaro Z28 L98 and ran into a problem. When changing the tail shaft i noticed the VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor) is different, the one on the tail shaft from the camaro is gear driven the one on the tail shaft from the truck is a magnet style do the out put the same signal? Can i just plug it in or what should i do?

From the truck
