92 Silverado inconsistent hard shifts

92 Silverado inconsistent hard shifts
Hey guys,
I have a 1992 Chevy Silverado 5.7 v8 with a 700 R4 Transmission. My transmission will shift fine for a day or two and then get worse. When it starts to get worse it will shift at 25 miles an hour out of first gear. When it gets real bad it won't shift out of first gear until about 35 miles an hour. And then for no reason at all it will fix itself and start shifting fine. The truck sat for about a year-and-a-half and I'm sure that has something to do with the issues. I have changed the fluid and the filter and swapped out the governor. When it comes to Transmissions I am absolutely Clueless. Please help
