Default 93 K1500 350 Engine Ticking

Hey all, heres a question. About 3 months ago I rebuilt the engine in my Chevy, a typical 5.7L 350 EFI. It was an easy going rebuild, everything sounded great, up until now. Just yesterday I heard a ticking coming from the the front of the truck (whether it's something in the dash or engine compartment I don't know) anyway, I've heard this noise before but not under these circumstances. When I accellerate I can hear a ticking noise between 2000 and 3000 RPM's. Now it sounds like lifter tick, but it only does this when it's in Drive, when I give the engine gas in Park I can't hear the sound, even with the RPM's are between 2000 and 3000. What possibly could this noise be under these circumstances? Also keep in mind the the sound is faint and hard to hear unless you turn down the radio, turn off the heat and roll up the windows. Also, it's perfectly synchronised with the exhaust pulses.

Default RE: 93 K1500 350 Engine Ticking

A ticking started in my 350 a few days ago, turns out it was a bad bearing in a brand new alternator. It was odd, if you got under the truck you would say it was bottem end, hardly here it up top.
