If the supply & return lines connect with the same type of connectors you could have the lines backwards causing fuel to go in the return line.

Redneck....sorry I must have overlooked your last post. Using a test light is highly not recommended. The test light may cause the outputs of the ECM to be burned out by drawing too much power. Here is a link to the noid light kit so you can take it to your jobber to show them what you are looking for.

Charles...The supply lines in the car are 3/8" in diameter while the return line is only 5/16" so it it impossible to mix them up

till i can order one of those noid lights from ebay,what about the pcm?i got a chance to get one at a salvage yard,what would have to be done to it before it would work for my motor.the person who had the car before me said it would only run if it was half to full throttle at the end.i know the car ran good before that because we put a tranny in it about a month before it started running badly.we pulled the motor out to put the tranny in and it ran fine for awhile after that.

i think i found the problem(at least it dont help).i took out the pcm and the back of it was broke open and you could see the circuit board was all corroded.i dont know how it got broke i didnt do it,lol
