Alright so as the title suggest I have a 96 k1500 (title says GMT-400?) that im wanting to rebuild. Its been my work truck for quite a while and the original 5.7 in it had 218xxx on it. I love this truck and I use it for work everyday in the dirt and mud. Im trying to figure out the best rebuild option to give it a good life for the conditions it goes through while still be pretty badass. I thought about doing a 383 swap but just wanted to get some opinions as im nothing more than an old youtube mechanic.
