I went to a local junkyard and was able to remove the dead pedal easily, I couldn't get it loose with my finger so I used a hooked tool from Harbor Fright, once the cover is removed there are two 10MM ATF bolts easy to remove then I was able to access the plastic 1/4 retainer that holds the (broken, looking for another) driver's side kick panel in place .

I was also able to easily lift up the carpet and work my brushes and vacuum nozzle all the way across to the tranny hump, I also scraped out 24 years of accumulated spooge and applied some Meguiar's #40 so it looks nice now .

I also found and bought one of the two Tracker Holy Grains : a driver's seat without the maddening little hole in the lower left side of the backrest .

$45 well spent IMO, I vacuumed it and installed it, *much* comfier plus the interior is beginning to look like a normal decent car and the dogs / children / spilled foods / drinks stench is GONE and I'm not yet done cleaning .
