Default Bearing issue.

I was putting together my short block and noticed these Mark's on my bearings, I can feel it with my finger nail. Do I nee a new set of bearings?

If you are rebuilding a short block, why would you use questionable parts. Any advice here will be worthless if they fail. You'll feel bad, and maybe blame anyone who offered the idea to re-use marginal parts. The back side of the bearings are supposed to carry size stampings. The front side should be without divots, cuts, or other visible damage.

The bearings are fresh out of the box and this is my first rebuild so I'm being extremely cautious. Also did the picture I attached show up?

I didn't see your picture.

Did you have the crankshaft machined? Did the shop supply you with the bearings?

The crank was machined .010 over and I ordered .010 over Clevite bearings.
