Default Best Code Reader

Anyone have any recommendations for a BEST code reader?

The most current post that I have found on this subject is from 2014.

There is a good possibility that tech has superseded that information in the last 6 years.

Any thoughts??

I use an Innova Pro-scan tool at $329 USD. If you want the best, you are looking at $700 dollars to much more than that. I highly doubt you need a scan-toll that a professional tech uses. Look up Scotty Kilmer's Youtube channel if you want to know more about portable scan-tools. as he has his own shop in Houston Texas, and he's also funny as hell!

A $50 dollar unit is fine for a novice but's it's simply not going to be better than my Innnova 3160g Pro OBD2 scanner and car code reader at $350 bucks, You get what you pay for, It's highly likely that the 5030 scan-tool is all you'll ever need, akbeaver.
