Beware of Rockauto.Com scam
Hi everyone,
Just wanted to share my 2 times experience with you guys. I have 2014 chevy cruze 1.4Lt turbo. I ordered some parts for my it from Rockauto.
I ordered ACDelco ignition coil that came as Delphy and box had Acdelco sticker(check the bill and coil) . Which i believe is cheaply made and cheaper on rockauto website. And stickers are not reliable nor their parts because it may say Acdelco and made in USA but could be made in China and the part could be any different brand. I will also suggest people to check wether the part itself says made in USA than only trust( oil filter says made in USA and bill says made in China ).
Long story short.
1) description of parts on bill has lot of false info(oil filter says made in USA and bill says made in China ) .
2) I received part which is not ACdelco(Delphi ignition coil in box with Acdelco stickers) .
3) even if it says ACdelco i am not going trust because package stickers are handmade by warehouses not by manufacturers( you can see the stickers overlapping the tap used to package means they package item and put their own computer generated stickers).
i stopped dealing with them after i ordered two catalytic convertors for my father in-laws 2011 ford ranger. they came pretty fast from another parts warehouse. installed them and the very last thing we did was install the 02 sensors only to find out one of them had the 02 bung welded in the wrong spot. it was welded to the top of the cat instead at a 45° angle. this caused the 02 sensor and wires to rub on the floor of the ranger. got a hold of rockauto and they said i would have to pay return shipping THEN pay for the new part to be shipped back. after complaining about this over multiple emails they said they would pay for the part to be shipped but i was still responsible for the return shipping. i couldnt understand how i could be responsible for return shipping on a manufactures issue. i reluctantly agreed to pay for the shipping but when asked how to get the credit for shipping on the new part they stopped talking to me. after about a month of getting no response from them i figured it would be cheaper and easier to plug the hole myself and reweld a new bung.
What you have there are Genuine ACDelco parts made by other very reputable companies contracted by ACDelco . Nothing to suggest anything was done inappropriately by Rock Auto or the Auto Parts Warehouses they use.
ACDelco is an aftermarket parts company. ACDelco sources parts from other manufacturers.
That ignition coil is made by Delphi and sold by ACDelco.
That oil filter is also not made by ACDelco. It's made by Hengst for ACDelco.
I personally stopped using Rock Auto, however, because of their extremely high shipping and their return policy.

if you want oem parts...buy from the dealer. a/c delco has different part lines. for example...oem brakes are not ac delco, are 3x the cost of ac delco advantage brake parts; but the oem parts are much better quality.
My other concern is that they charge $102CAD for $88CAD product. I ordered ACdelco 102$ and they sent me 88$ Delphi product with acdelco label on box. And their reply to my email shows i irresponsible they are by forcing you to pay for the return even though it's not your fault.
