Default Big Trouble

My name is Ryan Hall, and have I recently bought a 1988 Chevy Pick -Up 2 door, 2 wheel drive, long bed with a 350 in it. I have recently changed the spark plugs, alternator, battery, spark plug wires, and ingnition coil. The timing has been set and is idling ok and running ok, until it warms up. I can drive for short amounts of time. Not sure what happen but the truck just shuts off, i can be doin 20 or 50 mph and it shuts off. It will not start again till i deconnect the battery and let it sit for atleast 2-5 hours. The truck will turn over but nothing as far as it trying to start. I need some help please and would like to get the truck running where i can drive it to work. Thank you very much
