Cab
I have the following
2010 Chevrolet Silverado
4x4
136k miles
LT2
Crew Cab
5.3 Motor
Black with Black cloth interior
VIN: 3GCRKSE34AG126200
My vehicle had an intermittent stabilitrack issue recently when it rained. I took it to a mechanic shop and they were a bit slow about looking at it so on Day three I took it. The vehicle was having no issue other than A/C wasn't working I took it in to Big O and had my oil changed and they also replaced a worn out part and recharged the AC.
On my way home the vehicle Stabilitrack light came on again and the engine started shaking from a misfire. I grabbed the scan tool I have and it showed engine misfire number 4. I took it back to Big O and had them perform a tune up on it, last tune up was at 130K miles.
Big O told me that valve 4 was coming on at startup and would move twice and stop they told me I would need to take it to a specialist. I took it to a specialist who was perplexed by this issue and told me to run Lucas Oil through it. The valve is not staying stuck open and he thinks the lifter may be fouled he also believes this is causing the stabilitrack issues. As a last ditch effort he wants me to run this with Lucas Oil for about 100 miles if this doesn't work he is telling me I will need new injectors. I have a pavement princess here for the most part and rarely use it for any towing. I can't find any TSB on this issue and Im also concerned about driving it around with a blinking check engine light. So far the coil pack for number 4 has been replaced and all spark plugs have been replaced. Any advice is appreciated thanks
