Default Can anyone help me identify my engine

Hello I recently got an engine swap in my 1986 caprice classic. The shop who did the swap doesn’t know what engine was used. I am trying to put an alternator in because the last one died but i keep getting the incorrect alternator from orileys. The first alternator I got from them plugged in but the belt did not fit on it. The 2nd alternator I got fits perfectly but has three prongs. The car has two so it will not plug in.

I would like some help with finding out what engine I have so I can get the correct alternator.

the mechanic told me he thinks it is a v8 350 5.7. But when I told orileys that engine I got the wrong alternator.

Take the original alternator with you and have them match it.
