carb vacuum advance problem

Default carb vacuum advance problem

My 4160model 600cfm holley carb has a line for a vacuum advance, my distributor doesnt have 1 tho. my engine start with the line just hanging loose right? and is there a quick way i could fix this without spending the money on a new carb

what kind of motor? can you get the block number?

its a 1980-1985 chevy 305 built with a 4160 600cfm holley carb. with electronic choke and secondary vacuun advance

what kind of distributor? coil in cap hei, external coil hei, points? sounds like you just need to get an hei distributor with vacuum advance, or just put a plug on the carb's vacuum port.
