Default Catalytic converter?

I have always heard that a cataylic converter cannot be cleaned but must be replaced. Now I see that there are cleaners on the market that are supposed to get rid of the code. I also saw on Youtube that putting a gallon of lacquer thinner in the gas tank with a half of tank of gas and driving 150 miles or running 2500 rpm for 15 minutes.
Has anyone tried any of the remedies and do they work?

I'm just wondering if anyone knows of ways to block the code once I pull the cats off my 98 k2500, any ideas?

Replace the catalytic converter. Visit Magnaflow Catalytic Converters, Catalytic Converter Cost for the best aftermarket catalytic converter at the lowest price. The owner of the site is very honest person and he always ensures the best product.

Never tried it (and probably won't).

I hear that the Thinner and (neoprene/synthetic) O'Rings don't get along, and there's quite a few of those, between the Tank and the Tail Pipe.
I'd be inclined to use the vacuum/suction method for direct injection (the 2500 RPM over 15 min) approach if anything. "Might' strip some of the Carbon off of the Platinum coat...maybe, and get you past another inspection...maybe.

All this is pretty risky, I'd be inclined to just replace and have it over with.

PS: jessica696912,
How much do you get paid for dropping those Vendor Links in these Threads ?
