Default Chev VIN Decoder

Hi i was wondering if anyone new of a good vin decoder, or if someone knows what digit to look at to get your axle ratio

Since I don't know what car or truck you have I would suggest asking the dealer to decode your number for you.

what year, if it s a5.3 will prolly have 3.73 or 4.10..if its a 4.8 it will have 3.42 or 3.73 most likely, if its 2 wheel and a 4.8 basically 3.42..but send me the vin

Don't know what you got but sometimes they'll place a little tag from the factory that'll tell you on the rear, it may be gone or rusted off etc. Another way is to put the car in nuetral, SAFELY jack the car's rear-end up and spin the tire while looking at the driveshaft. If the driveshaft turns 3 and almost 4 times per the wheel making one complete turn, you probably have 3.73s etc... Maynot get you the EXACT number but it'll get ya close.

As far as I know, the axle ratio depends on the year of manufacture, gearbox, and engine. All this info you can find out using this free VIN decoder.

There are most of the VIN check are paid but i found this vindecoderz site free. Most of the site provides a government-sourced VIN lookup service for less cost than for only $4.99.

all the Vin Decoder can given the same experience but my friend recommended me the Vin Lookup services
