Please don't flip out for this not being about a Chevy, I just don't want diehard Mopar guys to find this question.

I'm looking for a work truck, towing/hauling. Older Dodge Rams have piqued my interest due to them having the Cummins and manual tranny option. However, Dodge being notorious for poor quality, I want to know what people think about everything but the engines of the first and second gen Rams.
