Clacking
I have a 98 1500k pickup (Z71) 5.7lt engine.
I started her up the other day and heard clacking in engine. The oil gauge won't register anything, but the truck has plenty of oil in it. What could be causing this? She also died out on me 30 ft after putting her into drive. Radio went out at the same time as well. I have video of the noises it made. If anyone would like to see it.

I think you need to do an oil pressure test at the sender to see what the real oil pressure is. Sounds like there isn't any, but that is the only way to know for sure.
Could be a couple things that cause this. Failure of the oil pump. oil pump pick up issue : plugged or fell off. Otherwise there is a massive eternal oil leak of some sort.
Yeah if there is no oil pressure it wont keep cranking up like there is nothing to it for long.
Got to get a test gauge on it.
