Default Cleaning Under the Hood - Engine Degreaser ('05 Chevy Optra)

Hi all,

Thought I would ask for some insight on using engine degreaser. I will attach some pictures of what is underneath the hood, but do you think my engine warrants a cleaning based on the pictures? I personally haven't had any issues with it being dirty, but I've had the car for 6 years now and have never cleaned underneath before, and I do like to keep things clean. I was looking at picking up some Gunk Engine Degreaser at CT to do the job. Or would this be a case of: If there's nothing wrong, don't fix it?

Also, anything I should be particularly concerned with about covering up first (i.e. battery terminals, etc)?

Thanks all.
