Default Clutch switch help?

So I have a 1998 5 speed Chevy c1500. I believe that the clutch switch has gone bad since it give me a hard time starting sometimes and on occasion won't start. But sometimes letting the clutch back up and down a little will make it "catch" and start.

I'm assuming the plug that's right at the top of the clutch pedal is the switch, right? It has four wires going to it, two purple, one purple/white and a brown.

I would like to replace it but I followed the wires abd it looks like they go into a big bundle of wires so it doesn't particularly look serviceable lol if anyone has shone insight on that I'd really appreciate it.

Does anyone know how to bypass it? Which wires to jump? I know the dangers of doubt this, I'm the only one that drives my truck and no one else in my family even knows how to drive a standard...sadly haha

Thanks in advance! Jason

It does I'm just having a bit of trouble getting it off, I'm working on that right now haha I added a couple pictures of it.

Thanks for the response Kevin!

P.s. all those pictures got turned to the left 90 degrees for some reason. At least viewing on my phone they did

I believe that white tab holds them together, kind of like an airbag connector.
