Default Crank no start 1990 454

I have a 90 1ton with 454 that cranks but no start. I changed the coil because I wasn't getting fire. Still no start. So I checked for spark at coil and got 1 single spark then nothing. Checked throttle body for fuel and noticed I got one squirt of fuel and then nothing. Both while cranking. Help

Just get a new one; I have seen them test ok and still be bad. Easy to replace & not too spendy. My 93 5.7 is on it's 3rd one. Don't forget to use the heat paste on install.

Default Thanks

I changed the ignition module and still no start. Computer? Distributor? I would think if it was the distributor the coil would fire more than the one time and same as the fuel

Only thing left is pickup coil, you have to pull distributor for change, one other thing,is the rotor spinning with cap off?the lower gear can go bad,no drive from camshaft

You might be better off getting a new distributor, replacing the pickup coil is a real ^&%$#.

Default Distributor

Somebody else told me to change the distributor... would that keep it from spraying fuel more than one squirt? To keep it from flooding?
