Default crank sensor problem help please

Hi all nice to find such a wealth of info I have been searching did find some info on my issue just need to ask a little more.

So here it goes I tried to pull crank position sensor out of my 1999 suburban 7.4 well it broke in half so after searching and reading

I ran a screw in the piece and it pulled out but oh yeah the but lol. when looking up in the hole it has a brass or at least looks like brass sleeve still in there Does that need to come out or does it stay?

I figure it needs to come out but thought it best to ask first and if it needs to come out any suggestions on how to get it out. can i run a screw like i did the other.

do all these crank sensors break like that only ask because I was going to just pull on out of another truck but not if it will break off.

Thanks for the help.
