I have a 2016 Chevy Express van, blowing ac out the defroster only, where in the world is my check valve located, its got me baffled

Welcome from Florida. Your Mode actuator is under the dash. There is more than one actuator so make sure you get the correct one. Check Youtube for videos on how to change it.
