Default Different spark plugs?

Help...i have a 2005 cavalier 2.2 ohc..and I took off the spark plugs to change them...go to the auto parts store and they give me the one that fit my car but the thing is that the new plugs are way longer than the ones I removed. So I went to another auto parts and they also gave me the long ones...but my car runs fine with the smaller ones. How and why is there a difference?

What brand and part number are the existing ones? Just go with ACDelco 41-105 and you should be good to go. The Iridium plugs should not be re-gapped, either.

I've used NGKs in an Ecotec 2.2L before, couldn't tell the difference which was probably a good thing. TR55IX does look weird though, according to the website NGK.com - Application Search Results. Whoever before you must have put in wrong ones.
