Default Dissapearing Oil

I have a 2001 Chevy Silverado and since I bought the truck a few years ago oil just seems to either burn or go somewhere. It has been progressively getting worse over the years. After just changing my oil, 1000 miles later my check engine oil level light will come on. When I check the level of the oil, there is practically nothing in it. Nothing is leaking out on the driveway or any of the components underneith. Where could this oil be goin? Possible passing the rings? Bad gasket somewhere? I need to get this problem solved because since my last oil change 3000 miles ago I have already put 3 full quarts in.

try a forum search for oil consumption, as there are many items that can be checked, if its not leaking its likely being burned and it will eventually take out the catalytic converter.
Check your PCV valve

I actually just changed the PCV valve a few days ago along with a tune up with new wires and plugs. I haven't had a change to see if it makes a difference but I didn't even think that would have anything to do with it. We shall see though. And what do you mean by take out your cat?

any oil that gets passed thru to the exhaust will eventually burn up in the cat and will shorten its life by clogging it.
