distributor issue
-Make chevy
-Model and Year Model - silverado 1998
-Drivetrain - automatic 4WD
-Engine Size - 350 5.7 litre
-Body Style - ext cab short box
I bought this truck while back just getting around to getting it running.
when I picked it up I noticed that it was hard to start, and the check engine light was on. the code I got was p1345, ok timing?
so my question is on the distributor has a 6 on the little point. should it be a 8?

Ok went to the wreakers and got another distributor and put it in and the truck fired up and ran. But the check engine light is on. Will it go out on its own, or will I have to take it in and have them scan it?
