I have just purchased a 1993 C1500 and want to go down the usual modification path. Can I replace the stock distributor with a stand alone DUI or MSD system without affecting the TBI? My truck also runs on LPG most of the time.A simple switch cuts the injectors & moves to the LPG. LPG is 70cents a litre compared to $1.30 a litre for gasoline here in Australia. The ignition modules seem to fail apparently (there are 3 old ones in the glovebox). Don't want to get stuck in the middle of nowhere.
