Do you know A/C
I'm working on a 1997 Chevrolet silverado 2500, with a V8. It's my dads truck and he told me that the A/C was freezing up a while back. The compressor ended up going out, and that has been recently replaced, but today I found out what is actually going on with the freezing up issue. One of the flaps seems to adjust after 10 to 15 minutes of driving to the point that very little air is coming out of the dash level vents. If I cycle through some of the other settings (defrost) and put it back, then it will blow strong for another 10 to fifteen minutes out of the dash level vents. Also, if I turn off the A/C the air flow from the vents gets higher, and when the A/C is turned back on, the process repeats itself again to the point there is very little air flow. I don't know anything about the A/C on this truck, and I could deffinately use some help. I don't know if the motors are vacuum actuated, or which flap/motor to address.
Thanks

i have some what of a similiar problem. my 98 c1500 in winter will quickly switch to a/c for dash vents. but in summer the one vent door that switches between outside air and inside air and all the rest of the combos took some time to switch. as though it froze. so my little fix was switch to the floor or defrost then switch to dash ac then at one time or another hit the black box under the passenger side dash and it would work. it seems as its just a motor havin issues with switching. ive been busy as all hell but im going to remove the black cover under the pass. dash area and look. but i think i need to get a copy of the venting routing and blueprints. but yea. but mine will continue to blow cold once it switched unlike yours switching back to closed after 10 minutes. perhaps it would be a good idea to get the blueprints and look for where the flap is located and listen for it turning on an off.
I have A/C machine in my house, but it is not working,if there is any service center available.
please tell me.

A/C is still freezing up. Low airflow is from evaporator freezing over. You turn off A/C & switch to fresh air & it thaws increasing airflow. Check/replace the low pressure cut out. On accumulator.Unplug & unscrew. Wont lose any freon.
