Default Door Position Pin replacement

Have a 1999 Chevy 1500 pickup (old body style), z71 4x4.
The passenger door squeaks along with other sounds which makes it sound like the truck is falling apart whenever closing the door. This is due to the pin that is on the upper door hinge. It allows the door to open and hold at two different door positions as most vehicles.
the bottom of this pin has corroded and dent a bit seizing the bushing that the door position bracket rides against. This is why I get all that noise as I close the door each time.
In order to put in a new pin it must be pressed back into proper position. Is there a special tool to do this? Is there a parts house that carries the pin or is this just a dealer item?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Frank

No special tool, remove the door, if your hinge is bolted on count your blessings and take it off and use conventional tools to remove the pin, (punch and hammer with a vice to hold the hinge. use same tools to install your new parts (Dorman has full size door stop roller assemblies) or buy a new hinge.
If it's welded on remove the door and you'll have to do your work on what ever side you need to work on (usually the body side) but it's the same approach.
