Question Eats power window motors

Front passenger door eats power window motors. I am about to install fifth regulator in front passenger door. I will take responsibility for one as I bought the cheapest thing I could find. Original one lasted until June 2007. Second (Cheap) one lasted until March 2008. The rest have been GM parts. Third until September 2011; and fourth until October 2012. The failure mode has always been the same. The window works fine for a while, then becomes intermittent for two weeks to a month and then fails completely. Testing has always shown that both the master and door switches function correctly. With motor plugged in, there is +12 volt for one direction and -12 volt for the other direction from both switches. By comparison I have replaced driver side once July 2010.

Is my luck with passenger side really that bad or is there something I am over looking?

I'd call switch. Apply power to the suspect motor with it out, if it works, then switch.

Is there any kind of bind that would put extra stress on the motor to make it fail?

kevinpk - tested plug w/ motor unplugged to check switches (master and door) then with motor connected to circuit and voltage was good in both cases.

oldchevy - maybe original regulator began to bind before it failed but the two recent ones became intermittent but showed not signs of binding and then failed. The cheap one maybe bound a little its whole 9 month life.

To both - I guess I was not clear that each time it was replaced both regulator and motor were replaced.
