Electrical problem?
Hello ladies and gentlemen! First off thanks for the help/suggestions. Ok so i have a 1990 Chevy Silverado 350 v8. My problem is that my brake running lights work but when i press down on the brake pedal the lights don't get brighter like they're supposed too, and to add on top of that my blinkers wont work. Left or right. They don't even act like i turned them on, inside the cab where the arrows are supposed to light up and make the infamous clicking noise. None of it happens.... Fuses are good but the fuses that were in the spots were a 25 fuse and the box says it needs a 15A fuse. Could this of caused a problem? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!
First of all, putting a 25 amp fuse in the slot isn't recommended when 15 amp is supposed to be there, but, it won't effect the operations.
Your Brake lights are your Turn Signal Lights (in part), so IF you have good Bulbs (all 4 corners) in them, then...
1) Try replacing the Turn Signal Relay, and or
2) Replace the Break Light Switch.
3) If neither of the above get things working, do a Voltage Check on both of the above units for a disconnection somewhere in the Circuit. These components "plug" into the electrical circuit. Check for secure connections.
PS:
Keep your packaging and receipts, should the above parts not be needed.
