Default Emissions warranty

We just got back from a trip with our 2009 Equinox LT with 81,132 miles and the infamous check engine light which point to the purge solenoid, traction control, EGR valve and MAF on bank one. Looks like this is a "light truck" and emissions warranty is only for 8 years or 80,000 miles. Did I understand this correctly?

If you would be able to provide the last 8 digits of your VIN, sysman990, we could get you specifics on your vehicle's warranty. Generally speaking, though, you are correct that specified major emissions components are covered for the first 8 years or
80,000 miles of a vehicle's life, whichever comes first.

Best,

Thanks for the quick reply. The last 8 digits are 96245999. This appears to be a high speed problem. I'll be posting details under "high speed traction - check engine problem" assuming I can find the right place.

Hi sysman,

As Sarah stated before, your emissions warranty expires 4/15/2017 or for 80,012 miles. If there's anything else we can do for you, please let us know.
