Engine power reduced and P0121 Check engine light.
Hi looking for a little help here.
I drive a 2006 Monte Carlo 3.5L. Recently I had a check engine light come on sporadically over the last month or two with a rough idle. Saturday it came on as I was passing autozone while it was on and had it checked. They told me it was P0122 and the throttle body probably just needed to be cleaned or the connections checked that it wasn’t a big deal. Sunday as I was driving I got an engine power reduced message. I pulled off turned it off and let it sit. It started back and drove fine just with a rough idle. Since then I’ve had to give it gas to start it each time it seemed weaker and weaker, but drove once started. Today it wouldn’t start at all. I tried a few times giving it gas and nothing. I stopped after noticing a little white smoke coming out from under the hood.
Did my throttle body just go bad? Looking for any help here or a point in the right direction.
Thanks,
Jonathan.

P0121 is an OBD-II code which indicates that the Engine Control Module (ECM) has seen the TPSsensor circuit A learned output voltage go above or below the sensor's expected range when compared toTPS sensor circuit B. Your ECM
is likely in a default control mode. Throttle position sensor might
be bad or it might be bad wiring or a connecter, possibly some corrosion
